Description

The Vaal University of Technology is based in the Gauteng Province and is one of the largest residential universities of technology. There are up to 22 000 students studying in its five campuses. It originated in 1966 as the  College of Advanced Technical Education. Later, it was known as the Vaal Triangle Technikon (1979-2003).

The university was transformed into what we know today in 2004. The institution aims to produce alumni who are employable and entrepreneurial by providing an environment that encourages learning. Their mission is to become a guiding path to a better future for all graduates. There are several support systems in place for students to ensure a smooth and easy academic career. 

Students from local provinces as well as 25 international countries are currently studying at this campus.  Their values include creativity, respect, honesty, and integrity. The alumni are well-versed in cutting-edge technology and are able to make an impact on society. Taking par tin community outreach is also encouraged.
