Description
The University of Johannesburg was formed in 2005 after merging the Rand Afrikaans University, Technikon Witwatersrand and the Soweto and East Rand campuses of Vista University. It is known for being a vibrant, multicultural campus, and focuses on how higher education can help students.
The university is one of the largest comprehensive contact universities in the country. Its transformation is driven by imagination, conversation, regeneration and ethical foundation. Its goal is to become the “Pan-African” hub for critical thought-leadership and global excellence. The learning environment is ideal for students from all backgrounds.
The University of Johannesburg uses cutting-edge ideas to prepare students for life after graduation. The university also hosts “Cloudebates” which bring together experts to speak about how technology can be used to change the future. The courses are easily accessible to all students and have an African context at their core. Some of the values include creative thinking, honesty, and transparency.
