Description

The Artisan Training Institute is based in Roodepoort in Gauteng and was established in 1982 as part of the Anglo-Alpha Group of Companies. The name was changed to Ikhaya Fundisa Techniskills Academy (IFTA) in 1999. In 2008, new management took over and transformed the institution, renaming it and improving on its offerings.

The training process allows for flexibility with class hours and attendance. This is because some of the students might be working full-time. The learner assessments test the aptitude as well as the trainability of the students, ensuring that they are ready for the job at hand.

The institution is committed to providing better skills, better training, and better preparation for the world and the workplace. The belief is that engineering can be used to make the world a better place, as well as for improving business.  All training offered will equip students with accurate and up-to-date industry knowledge.
