The Afrikaanse Protestantse Akademie is an Afrikaans-based institution that offers a Christian ethos in everything they do. They strive to develop leaders who uphold Christian values and hold the Afrikaans language dear. The institution opened its doors in 1988 as a theological school of the Afrikaans Protestant Church Association. Staff are continuously providing students with help and guidance during their studies.
Students are provided with a solid foundation for their careers. The teaching is steeped in Christian practices but the courses remain relevant even still today. The school values scriptural integrity, academic excellence, cultural sensitivity, and ethical responsibility. The campus is based in Pretoria and is known for being safe but also beautiful.
The APA is a non-profit company which relies on donations in order to meet some of its goals. There is ample student support from both lecturers and peers alike. The Student Representative Council aims to foster a Christian spirit in the college. It also strives to improve student engagement with the college itself.
